Most of the way through graduation weekend
I pick up Brian at 8:00 am tomorrow at the airport. Then I speak at the ceremony at noon. Then I’m done. WOOOO. Probably going to bed right now, as this whole deal has been exhausting.

Graduation is upon me
I do believe I’m going to cope by being blitzed on vodka and syrup throughout the weekend. I may even make sneaky punch if my family stresses me out enough.

So far all I’ve got is mushy nostalgic stuff and shit-talking about which deli has the best reuben. Sigh. What else should I talk about? I have 3-5 minutes.

It's 71 today
Just spent over an hour walking from my house, along the river greenway thingie, and through two parks to get to campus. Now I’m Tumbling in the computer lab and then going on to the gym. Spring Saturday turned into sneaky physical fitness day or something, and I’m fine with that.

Done with classes
Last night was a good end to my days as a student, at least for this degree. After the last day of classes, Danny had folks over with a keg of Oberon. I got there around 7:00 with donut holes, spring cupcakes, and TRON CUPCAKES. Thank you, Kroger, for thinking that children would want those for their birthday parties so 27-year old grad students could snatch them up instead.

Week ends with a flop
My entire day was falling apart, and was about to culminate in me punching a fax machine at Kinky’s*. Buuuut I asked my dear boyfriend to fax a document for me, and I made an eye exam for next week to milk my vision insurance before it’s gone. And now things are just fine.

That's enough, master's project.
I’m completely rewriting the introduction to our capstone plan. Because after I incorporated more than 200 comments from seven people in the 12-page version we were using, the instructors decided it needed a major overhaul. The timing would be funny if it weren’t such a waste of my time.

About to leave for dinner with Emily!
The last time I saw Emily* was June 19, 2010, on the night that I (re)met my now-boyfriend. It was one of the best nights of that year, not just for that fact but because she’s the coolest and we get along famously. Nooooow I’m on her turf and about to go eat a pile of shellfish with she and her girlfriend. SO. EXCITED.

I don’t read comments on online news stories. Ever. My life has been much less rage-filled and more peaceful since I decided long ago to ignore them completely.

Weekend in the District
